It’s marvelous to be a part of this rich history of SPH. I am truly thankful to my alma mater for shaping my career in this amazing field of public health research. I graduated with my MPH in Epidemiology in 2020, and am currently working as a Clinical Research Specialist at the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. During my time at SPH, I was part of the Texas A&M Public Health Students Association and was the President of Maternal and Child Health Organization. The leadership qualities that I gained during this time are still helping me in managing day-to- day activities with junior researchers. My favorite memory at SPH was late night group projects in the computer lab at SPH, which always included pizza! I will always be thankful to Dr Marcia Ory for mentoring me. She provided me with an opportunity to volunteer with the Center for Population Health and Aging, and gradually increased my responsibilities to Student Technician, Graduate Research Assistant, and a full-time Research Associate. All of the above experiences truly helped me in reaching where I am today and I will be forever grateful to everyone at SPH for shaping my career.
