What Are PHield Trips?

PHield Trips are 1-day immersive experiences that take students off campus and into the community, visiting organizations actively engaged in public health work. These trips provide a unique opportunity to see public health in action, connect with professionals, and understand how classroom concepts apply in real settings.

Eligibility

Open to all School of Public Health students (unless otherwise specified – any classification restrictions would be advertised during trip promotion).

Frequency

Usually scheduled during Fall Break (October) and just before the start of the spring semester (January).

Duration

Typically half-day or full-day experiences.

Transportation

Provided for attendees.

Cost

Free for SPH students (unless otherwise specified – any potential costs would be advertised during trip promotion).
