Nikita Sandeep Wagle is a PhD student at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management. She is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Population Informatics Lab working on the evaluation of Alternative Payment Models in Texas Medicaid 1115 waiver demonstration. She is proficient in analyzing large complex datasets and has expertise in applied econometrics, systematic literature review and survey design and analysis. She has co-authored a technical report on Telemonitoring in Texas (2019). She is a recipient of the Dean's Excellence Award (2018, 2019) at the School of Public Health and Sexual and Reproductive Health Section Award at the American Public Health Association’s Annual Conference (2018). The focus of her dissertation is on disparities in receipt of curative treatment and survival in Hepatocellular Carcinoma patients. She practiced as a Physician (MBBS) in India and worked as Business Process Lead at Tata Consulting Services, Division of Pharmacovigilance. She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017.
