Sophia Anyatonwu is a PhD student at the Texas A&M School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Population Informatics Lab. Sophia received a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Since graduating with her MPH, she has gained experience working as an infectious disease epidemiologist at the local, state, and national/international level and has served in leadership roles in a variety of public health organizations. She recently completed the Building Expertise in Administration and Management program for public health professionals, earning a certificate from the University of Miami. At this stage in her career she has goals of becoming a population health scientist and helping leaders use data for action.
