Epidemiological research aims to discover the causes of disease by analyzing the populations and social and physical environments where they proliferate. Our training emphasizes the development of skills applicable to the study of the occurrence and distribution of disease, focusing on determining the impact and magnitude of disease frequency so that effective control measures can be designed.
Our epidemiologists have assisted with epidemiologic investigations, most recently working with the Brazos County Health District to conduct the epidemiologic work on the local COVID-19 cases.
