Mediasite is Texas A&M University’s standardized streaming media system that provides either public or private access to video and audio content. Mediasite integrates with Canvas.
The primary objective of the project is to replace the VPR-IT’s MediaMatrix system, which will be decommissioned, with Mediasite for all relevant existing and future academic streaming media content.
Since your course has a storage limit, Mediasite offers you a limit of 10GB for videos.
Go to settings
On the right-side you will find MyMediasite
Authorize the Mediasite Prod 1.3 API
Click Add Presentation
Select Upload New Video

Selecting where to save is important. Your draft folder has a limit of 2GB for storage. Instead, use a shared folder that will have unlimited access. For that, request a shared folder to the Academic Technology staff at sph-at@tamu.edu
To save in shared folder
Click the option below My Drafts
Click on Change to find the shared folder
In the Destination type dropdown menu, select Shared Folder
If options are not displayed, then click on the magnifier icon and type your last name
Select the folder
Click on Create presentation
Wait for the video to upload and process
Once the video has completed processing, you will see a video preview and have all the functionality to Manage the video including adding engagement and including it as part of a collection.
In Canvas:
Create a new page in Canvas
Click on the Mediasite icon (four orange dots in rhombus shape)
Locate the video you uploaded and click on Embed video
