Graduation

On behalf of the school, congratulations on entering the final semester of your curriculum at SPH! To help you prepare for graduation, please review the information below for the required forms and deadlines. 

Applying for Your Diploma

You must file an application for degree before you can graduate. Students planning to graduate must submit the graduation application online in the Howdy portal. The application for spring 2024 graduation opens December 18 and the last day to apply online to avoid a late fee is February 16. The last day to submit an application online for graduation is March 27, and in person via a paper application, April 30. In addition, Texas A&M provides a Graduation Checklist, which upcoming graduates are strongly recommended to review and complete the necessary steps.

Commencement Ceremony

Commencement

Undergraduate Students in the School of Public Health

Commencement for all undergraduate students in the School of Public Health will be Saturday, May 11 at 9:00 AM in Reed Arena.

Master's and Doctoral Degree Commencement and Hooding

Commencement and hooding ceremony for all graduate students (master's and doctoral) in the School of Public Health will be Saturday, May 11at 2:00 PM in Reed Arena.

Ordering Regalia

Students who need to order regalia should consult the Regalia: Cap & Gown website for more information: The color of the hood for graduate-level degrees is based on your degree.

SPH Graduation Celebration

In recognition of your graduation we invite you to attend the SPH Graduation Celebration. The celebration will be held at the School of Public Health, at 212 Adriance Lab Road, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Please bring your friends and family to meet faculty, staff and administration. You will also be able to collect your graduation gift from the School as well as have photo taken.  An official invitation will be sent via email at a later date.

Graduation Survey

The school compiles data on employment plans of our graduates for CEPH accreditation requirements. Personal information will be kept confidential and is only used for statistical purposes. Individual student data will not be published or shared. The survey will be sent to students' TAMU and exchange email accounts directly.

  • Financial Aid: consider meeting with a Financial Aid or Money Wise advisor to plan for loan repayment and deferment options (if applicable).
  • Association of Former Students, Aggie Ring: connect with Aggies around the world by purchasing a class ring. Review the website for eligibility requirements. Also update your information in the Aggie Network portal to receive important information from the Association and your class agents.
  • SPH Alumni Association: join this network to receive information from SPH after you graduate.
  • LinkedIn: become a member of our private LinkedIn group where we share additional resources, job postings and messages from SPH.
