Graduation

On behalf of the school, congratulations on entering the final semester of your curriculum at SPH! To help you prepare for graduation, please review the information below for the required forms and deadlines. 

Applying for Your Diploma

You must file an application for degree before you can graduate. Students planning to graduate must submit the graduation application online in the Howdy portal. The application for fall 2020 graduation opens Aug. 12 and the last day to apply to avoid a late fee is Sept. 18. In addition, Texas A&M provides a Graduation Checklist, which upcoming graduates are strongly recommended to review and complete the necessary steps.

Commencement Ceremony

Commencement for Fall 2020 Doctoral Students

The doctoral commencement and hooding ceremony for fall 2020 graduates has been scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. in Reed Arena.

Commencement for Fall 2020 Bachelor's and Master's Students

Commencement for all School of Public Health students receiving bachelor's or master's degrees in Fall 2020 has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. in Reed Arena. 

Commencement ceremonies for May 2020 and and August 2020 graduates are now scheduled for Feb. 11-13, Feb. 17-19, and March 11-13 at Kyle Field. More details will follow.

Ordering Regalia

Students who need to order regalia can do so directly from the MSC Bookstore (located on the lower level). When ordering graduate-level regalia, please see the list below for the hood color based on your degree.

  • MHA- Kelly green
  • MPH- Salmon (all concentrations)
  • MSPH- Gold
  • PhD- Dark blue
  • DrPH- Salmon

SPH Graduation Celebration

At this time, the SPH Graduation Celebration has not been scheduled. Please check back for future notifications.

Graduation Survey

The school compiles data on employment plans of our graduates for CEPH accreditation requirements. Personal information will be kept confidential and is only used for statistical purposes. Individual student data will not be published or shared. The survey will be sent to students' TAMU and exchange email accounts directly.

  • Financial Aid: consider meeting with a Financial Aid or Money Wise advisor to plan for loan repayment and deferment options (if applicable).
  • Job Search Assistance: Schedule an appointment with Ms. Jessica Newcomb with the School's Career Services Program. She works with both current and former students to help guide you through the job search process.
  • Association of Former Students, Aggie Ring: connect with Aggies around the world by purchasing a class ring. Review the website for eligibility requirements. Also update your information in the Aggie Network portal to receive important information from the Association and your class agents.
