About the Program

The Program for the Environment and Sustainability (PES) focuses on the intersection of the environment, health and sustainability through an understanding of the interaction of populations and their ecosystems.

Mission

The mission of the Program for the Environment and Sustainability is to address environment and sustainability challenges in Texas, the United States, and internationally through the development of innovative approaches in research, training and outreach.

Vision

The vision of the Program for the Environment and Sustainability is to become a leader in:

  • The environment, sustainability and health
  • The promotion of the environment and sustainability as a fundamental value in the state of Texas, nationally, globally and in The Texas A&M University System through the development of innovative approaches
  • The fostering of corporate and community leaders, faculty, students, and community members to appreciate the importance of sustainable practices.
