Graduate Certificate in Global Health
About the program
The Graduate Certificate in Global Health Program is an interdisciplinary certification that is available to all graduate students enrolled at the Texas A&M University campus in College Station. Its purpose is to teach graduate students about global perspectives on public health, encourage them to consider careers in a variety of settings around the world, and to promote research and innovation in addressing the myriad public health problems seen around the world.
With a cross-disciplinary perspective, students are assured of receiving a broad understanding of global health challenges and opportunities.
Completed coursework may be applied to degree-seeking pathways depending on grade received.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the program, students will be able to:
- Describe health systems in a variety of countries around the world
- Explain social and environmental impacts on health from a social ecological perspective
- Explain the impact of various environmental contamination sources on health
- Compare and contrast leading causes of morbidity and mortality among countries around the world
- Apply new knowledge in a practice setting
Eligibility
Applicants must be a graduate student in a degree seeking program at Texas A&M University.

All certificate programs have rolling deadlines.
