The Texas A&M University School of Public Health (SPH) wishes to extend a thank you to the many individuals and organizations who contribute to SPH scholarships. Without their commitment, the scholarships listed below would not be available each year to students enrolled at the School of Public Health.
Currently enrolled students are required to complete the Texas A&M University Scholarship Application and the application found at TAMSPH Scholarship/Training Grant Application Portal. Students currently applying to the School of Public Health with plans to enroll in fall 2024 will complete the scholarship application as a part of the application to the school through WebAdmit.
Texas A&M School of Public Health scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis from December 1 through the final application deadline, with priority given to applicants who apply early. The average scholarship award ranges from $1,000 - $2,000 per academic year. An eligible* non-resident graduate student receiving a competitive scholarship of at least $1,000 for the academic year may qualify for non-resident tuition waiver. *Non-resident distance education students who reside outside the state of Texas are not eligible for this or other non-resident tuition waivers.
The deadline for currently enrolled/continuing students to complete the university-wide scholarship application is Feb. 1, 2024. Scholarships for currently enrolled/contininuing students are very limited and will not be awarded until May/June. Please review scholarship/training grant eligibility prior to completing scholarship applications.
This application is available for both current and scholarship eligible applicants for graduate programs in the School of Public Health. The following scholarships are awarded based on this application:
Only available to MHA students who have completed their practicum. This scholarship only accepts applications in the fall term and is awarded in the following spring term.
Available to SPH graduate students interested in a research/practice area in ergonomics. The scholarship requires a statement of purpose addressing a specific topic to be uploaded to be considered complete.
Available to MHA students interested in rural health administration opportunities. The scholarship is offered in connection with the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals, a very strong advocate for rural hospital leaders and providers throughout Texas. This scholarship only accepts applications in the fall term and is awarded in the following spring term.
Available to MPH or DrPH students in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) at the School of Public Health, or MS or PhD students in the Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program working under the guidance of a faculty member with primary appointment in EOH.
Available to SPH graduate students interested in a research/practice area relevant to healthy aging.
Available to SPH graduate students pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health. This award does not carry a non-resident tuition waiver.
Undergraduate students are required to complete the Texas A&M University Scholarship Application by Feb. 1. Undergraduate students may be eligible for the following scholarships.
Available to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the School of Public Health who have attained at least junior status.
Available to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the School of Public Health.
Available to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Health at the School of Public Health.
