Public Health Studies Minor

PUBLIC HEALTH STUDIES MINOR

Public Health Studies Minor Requirements:

15 hours to complete minor

**May not be a PHLT, HLTH, CHLT major.**

All courses must be passed with a “C” or better

The following 12 hours of course work are required:

• PHLT 302- Foundations of Health
• PHLT 303- Social Context of Population Health
• PHLT 305- Epidemiology in Public Health
• PHLT 330- The Environment and Public Health

In order to declare the Public Health Minor, students need to:

• Have a minimum Texas A&M GPA of 2.0
• Have completed one semester at Texas A&M
• The minor must be declared before the student has completed 90 credit hours
• Complete the Public Health Minor request form

For any of the remaining 3 hours of credit, students may select 3 hours consisting of any 3 credit hour PHLT course or any other public health relevant 3 credit hour course approved by a Public Health Studies advisor.
