Master of Health Administration

Our Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program is ranked as one of the top graduate health administration programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and was one of ten demonstration sites for the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) that helped develop the MHA Program’s Competency Model for graduate health administration education. We have been continuously accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) since 2008.

The MHA Program in the Texas A&M University Department of Health Policy and Management is a professional degree program intended for students pursuing administrative practice in health service related settings. We offer two tracks:

  • The Resident Track for students embarking on their career in health administration
  • The Executive Track for currently employed health professionals

Our MHA Program will provide you with a rigorous and comprehensive educational experience, including the core disciplines of the schools of public health that have become increasingly important in health administration. We embrace the ethic and philosophy that health services and leaders must provide appropriate direction in attending to the interests of the populations their organizations serve. We have a wide-ranging network of professional relationships with health care providers and associations within Texas and across the United States. Our MHA Program benefits greatly from our engaged and successful alumni and from one of the nation’s strongest alumni networks - The Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University.
