Trevor M. Burt, MS, EdD, is the Vice President of Education Administration at Houston Methodist Hospital and is responsible for providing executive leadership and oversight for the offices of the Center for Nursing Research, Education, and Practice, Continuing Medical Education, Curriculum and Educational Development, Graduate Medical Education, Graduate Studies and Trainee Affairs, and Undergraduate Medical Education in the Houston Methodist Education Institute. Previously, Dr. Burt served as Director of Education Administration for the hospital.
Dr. Burt has been actively involved in medical education leadership training courses, having successfully completed the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Resident Affairs Graduate Medical Education Leadership Development Course and the AAMC Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program.
In addition, he has been instrumental in the development and success of the Texas A&M School of Medicine Houston Campus, a partnership with Houston Methodist, and continuing with the development of the Engineering Medicine (EnMed) program. He continues to serve as a mentor for community health undergraduate students from the community health program at Texas A&M, having served as a site supervisor for close to 20 interns.
He was awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Texas A&M University College of Education and Human Development in 2015, named to the Bryan Independent School District Education Foundation Hall of Honor in 2016, and was a Fish Camp namesake in 2022.
Dr. Burt received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science degree from Amberton University, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Houston.
