Alumni Awards

Distinguished Alumnus

The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest award presented by the Texas A&M School of Public Health Alumni Advisory Board. It serves to honor alumni who have contributed distinguished service to the college and/or the public health profession.

Eligible candidates must be alumni of the Texas A&M School of Public Health.

Nominations are solicited from the alumni, faculty and staff and are reviewed by the selection committee. Self-nominations are welcome. The selection committee is composed of the President of the Alumni Advisory Board, two other board members, and the Director of Alumni Affairs. The award is only presented if the Selection Committee determines that there is a suitable candidate.

Award winners will be honored the evening of April 27 during the School of Public Health's 25th Anniversary Gala at the Hilton College Station and Conference Center. 

Nominations for the Distinguished Alumnus are due by March 26th.

Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Award honors an alumnus less than 10 years post-graduation who has exhibited outstanding contributions to their profession, to their community and to the Texas A&M School of Public Health.

Eligible candidates must be alumni of the Texas A&M School of Public Health.

Nominations are solicited from the alumni, faculty and staff and are reviewed by the selection committee. Self-nominations are welcome. The selection committee is composed of the President of the Alumni Advisory Board, two other board members, and the Director of Alumni Affairs. The award is only presented if the Selection Committee determines that there is a suitable candidate.
