In response to recent federal policy changes regarding the American Disabilities Act Title II, the final rule, approved by the US Department of Justice, requires compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards for all web content and mobile apps by April 24, 2026, for public entities serving over 50,000 residents.
Accessibility is important in learning materials used in courses, either in classroom and/or canvas courses. Check out the resources that CTE has curated for our community in their Digital Accessibility website.
TAMU will use tools in Canvas, like Ally or Yuja, to ensure that we are compliant 100% in Canvas courses.
