Sph Health and Wellness

Texas A&M School of Public Health & Wellness Committee

Student Ambassador Application Form

Academic Year 2019-2020

Background:

The Health & Wellness Committee at Texas A&M School of Public Health was established in 2013. This committee, chaired by Dr. Marcia Ory, and represented by faculty, staff and students from all departments was created to enhance health and wellness throughout the entire school. One of our most significant achievements was securing the CEO Cancer Gold Standard Accreditation for our workplace health promotion activities.  The committee holds monthly, work planning activities, and meetings to address chronic disease lifestyle issues.

The SPH Health & Wellness Committee launched its 1 st Student Ambassador Program during the 2018-2019 school year. This program is a one-year commitment with the option to be reconsidered for further participation in the program in the succeeding academic year. Students in the Ambassador program will gain knowledge in communication, leadership, health promotion and research.
