Dean's Message

 Thank you all for joining us for our School of Public Health strategic planning process. With the SPH 25th anniversary rapidly approaching and a national crisis forcing all schools to reevaluate what is university education, the need to plan for the future is more important than ever before. You will all be an instrumental part of helping to determine the direction of the School of Public Health as we move to the natural next level within our evolution. This is meant to be an open process that allows each person to contribute as much or as little as they are comfortable. I know how valuable your time is, particularly these days, and I greatly appreciate you helping us with this process. I look forward to engaging with each of you throughout the event, and then operationalizing our plan for the future.

Message from OUR SOAR SUMMIT FACILITATOR

 I am delighted to have been invited to facilitate your SOAR SUMMIT. The day promises to be engaging and productive as we work together to help craft the new strategic plan for TAMU. During our time together, we will be using several online tools including Zoom breakout rooms and screen annotation, as well as Google Sheets and Slides. The printed manual contains all the materials you will need to actively participate in our SOAR SUMMIT.  Many activities will require you to take notes in your manual. 

  • Please collect a hard copy of the manual from Dean's office, 369, before Friday.
  • If you cannot collect a hard copy, please print the manual for your use during the SOAR SUMMIT. The critical parts to print are pages 7 – 14.
  • If you cannot print a copy, please be prepared to take notes on paper for the activities on pages 7 – 14.
