After growing up in Kingwood, Texas, and Leesburg, Georgia, Emily pursued her business degree at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. During this time, she worked as a field director for several local and state campaigns and interned at the U.S. Senate and GEICO. She was highly active on campus and in the community. She served in positions such as Director of Finance for her university's Dance Marathon chapter, which nearly quadrupled its fundraising during the three years she served. She also partnered to create an educational video series to advocate for the end of violence against women, which was acclaimed by President Jimmy Carter. She graduated in 2018 Summa Cum Laude and received several university awards for leadership, academic excellence, and service. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
