Health Policy and Management

The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the instructional associate or instructional professor level. This position will serve as Director of its Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program and has opportunities for multi-year contracts.

About the Department

Administratively located in the CEPH-accredited School of Public Health (SPH), the department offers the Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Health (MPH), PhD in Health Service Research, and undergraduate BSPH degree programs. Both SPH and the CAHME-accredited MHA program are nationally ranked. Texas A&M University was recently ranked in the top 15 public universities by U.S. News and World Report.

The department has 20 full-time faculty and a number of instructional adjunct faculty members and an Executive-in-Residence, provides leadership to Regents’ approved centers and programs:

  • The NSF-funded Center for Health Organization Transformation
  • The HRSA-funded Southwest Rural Health Research Center
  • The Program on Health Policy Research
  • The Program on Disability Research and Community-Based Care


This position requires a PhD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution in health care administration field such as: healthcare management, marketing, strategic planning, human resources, or organizational theory.
