Student Associations

The School of Public Health offers several organizations that are beneficial for our students. Four organizations many MHA students join are described below.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement

The IHI Open School for Health Professions is an interprofessional educational community that gives students the skills to become change agents in health care improvement. The student organization reinforces skills like quality improvement, patient safety, teamwork, leadership and patient-centered care. Employers are looking for these skills, and patients expect providers to have them. Given the accelerated change inclinical capabilities, it is difficult to touch on the many facets of these changes.  For students in nursing, health administration, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, policy, and other health professions, IHI provides an educational community that’s free and open no matter where they are.
